Kelly Osbourne’s face at the 2026 Brit Awards left fans wondering if photos were edited

Lately, the internet has been weirdly fixated on pictures of Kelly Osbourne’s face from the 2026 Brit Awards. When a pop culture account posted photos of the reality TV star, it racked up over 18 million views. From there, the comments poured in, with many speculating if the pictures were “edited.”

On February 28, 2026, Kelly joined her mother, Sharon Osbourne, at the Brits. At the event, they delivered a speech in honor of Ozzy Osbourne’s posthumous lifetime achievement award. Shortly after, Kelly found herself under scrutiny once again for her noticeably slimmer, sharply sculpted frame at the awards.

The post, which went viral and garnered over 3,500 replies in that X (formerly Twitter) thread alone, prompted people to ask, “This is an edit, right?” Another user chimed in, “I had to look twice to make sure it was actually Kelly! The transformation is surreal.” It seems like everyone was in disbelief that the pictures were unedited. In the photos, the 41-year-old’s facial features looked more prominent than they were in any of her previous public appearances.

The relentless tide of commentary dissecting women’s appearances is nothing but appalling. Trolls unseemly take delight in scrutinizing the changing frames of the A-list, with GLP-1 jabs only fueling the frenzy. Knowing Kelly lost her rock-legend father last year to a heart attack after watching him battle Parkinson’s makes this speculation on her looks feel particularly uncomfortable. The signs are unmistakable to anyone who recognizes the profound markers of grief.

Since her days on The Osbournes, Kelly’s body has always been part of the conversation. For years, she was criticized for being too big. That narrative often overshadowed her career. In 2026, it’s the same old story. As she attended the Brits on behalf of her late father, the conversation shifted to her dramatically different look.

In a way, the mother of one is facing the commentary culture she once helped shape. Despite Kelly having her own fair share of fashion duds, she offered the most unfiltered takes on celebrity style on Fashion Police. The show was built on freely critiquing the outfits and bodies of numerous celebrities for pure entertainment. It went on to help normalize the idea that stars were fair game for any commentary on their looks.

In 2011, Kelly made an offensive comment about Christina Aguilera’s appearance during a public feud. She said, “Maybe she is just becoming the fat b—h she was born to be.” Her comment was indeed dehumanizing and crude, no matter the magnitude of the feud.

After the awards, Kelly took to Instagram Stories to ask the internet for compassion. Addressing those who criticized her Brits appearance, she wrote, “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something. Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most. None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character.”

She ended the note by saying, “I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way!”

While it can look like a complete U-turn for the former Fashion Police co-host, it doesn’t mean we can’t still empathize with her. Days before her on-stage appearance at the Brits, she reposted a series of “disgusting” disparaging comments about the way she looks. She wrote, “No one deserves this sort of abuse.
