Gomez and Blanco publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2023, six months after they started dating.
One year later, Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco on Instagram. She shared several photos of her picnic proposal featuring her favorite fast food, Taco Bell, as well as images of her marquise diamond engagement ring.
The couple then tied the knot in California in September 2025. Gomez announced that she and Blanco were married through an Instagram post.
Their wedding day included celebrity guests such as Gomez’s longtime pal Taylor Swift, her Only Murders in the Building costars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Paul Rudd, plus Paris Hilton and Ed Sheeran.

During a recept episode of Friends Keep Secrets, Blanco’s podcast with Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco, Gomez opened up about her relationship with her Grammy Award-winning husband.
The Disney Channel alum said the couple’s relationship “is probably so healthy and one of the greatest things of life.”
Gomez also spoke about her desire to have “four” children. She cited a memorable scene from The Family Stone, a holiday film about the unique dynamics present in an unusual family hosting their son’s girlfriend for Christmas for the first time, as the reason why.
Diane Keaton, who died in 2025 at age 79, played the matriarch of the family, and the film also stars Craig T. Nelson, Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams, Luke Wilson and Claire Danes.
