Miss Alabama’s Teen 2026: Grier Feldman of Sterrett wins the crown

Grier Feldman is the new Miss Alabama’s Teen.

The 18-year-old from Sterrett was crowned on Sunday at Thompson High School in Alabaster. She competed as Miss Hoover’s Teen, besting 37 other contestants for the state title.

Feldman will start a yearlong reign and move on to represent Alabama at Miss America’s Teen, the national competition linked to Miss America. Tess Ferm of South Carolina is the current Miss America’s Teen.

Feldman takes over the role of Miss Alabama’s Teen from Addison Shoemaker of Vestavia Hills, the 2025 winner. Shoemaker crowned her successor on Sunday at the high school’s performing arts center and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.

Feldman attends Oak Mountain High School, where she’s in the 12th grade. She performed a combination dance/twirling routine during the competition on Sunday, to the song “At World’s End.”

Feldman also participated in physical fitness and evening wear segments during the finals and answered on-stage questions. Her service initiative for the Miss Alabama organization is State of Love: An outreach program for pediatric cancer patients.

When asked on stage why she’d be an effective brand ambassador for the Miss Alabama’s Teen organization, Feldman had a ready answer.

“I actually started as an eighth-grader in this organization, and I’m firm believer that this organization changes young women’s lives,” Feldman said. “When I first stood on this stage, my biggest fear was coming up to this microphone and being able to answer an on-stage question. And now I can say that’s not the case. I’m very proud to stand here. So I created my ultimate guide to becoming a Miss Alabama’s Teen sister to provide the step-by-step journey that these young women can take, because I want to see more young women on this stage next year, and I want to see their lives changed.”

Feldman said she’d learned a great deal during her time in the Miss Alabama Organization, and would put that knowledge to good use as the new teen titleholder.

“I think that one of the biggest things this organization has taught me is how to be kind-hearted and how to be a good servant leader,” Feldman said. “And I’m going to continue doing that as Miss Alabama’s Teen.”

As the winner of Miss Alabama’s Teen, Feldman will receive $7,500 in scholarship money and her choice of four-year tuition scholarships to schools such as the University of Alabama, Auburn University, the University of Montevallo, Samford University, Troy University or the University of North Alabama.

Cambree Crumpton was named first runner-up on Sunday. Madelyn Rasco was second runner-up, taking third place. Ella Birdsong was third runner-up (fourth place). Kate Hendon rounded out the top five. All of them will receive scholarship money ranging from $1,000 to $3,000.

Before the pageant finals on Sunday, contestants for Miss Alabama’s Teen participated in preliminary events and had off-stage interviews with the judges. The judges for 2026 were Tiffany Bittner, Tracee Roderick Comfort, Austin Crabtree, Candy Cohen Reid and Christy Booker Rogers.

Emma Terry, Miss Alabama 2025, was the emcee for the finals event.

Miss Alabama’s Teen was founded in 2003 as Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen and has crowned 24 previous winners. The name of the competition was changed in 2023, dropping the word “Outstanding” to make it simpler and more concise.
