Does your dog have a favorite song? Some dogs react when they hear their favorite show’s theme song start playing, while others have a jam they hear that immediately makes them happy. This Golden Retriever named Wallace has a favorite song, and he loves it so much that he immediately wakes up from a nap the second he hears it!
Wallace is napping next to his mom on the couch. Mom goes to YouTube and finds his favorite tune, a song by Regina Spektor. Make sure your sound is on because the second he hears it, his reaction is beyond adorable!
Not only was Wallace excited for his song, but he was also so excited that he grabbed his favorite stuffie, a Clifford the Big Red Dog toy!

Viewers Leave Hundreds of Comments About Wallace Waking Up for His Favorite Song
Viewers loved watching Wallace wake up after hearing his favorite song and left hundreds of comments about his reaction. @Tiki and Eevie swooned, “Aww, I hope Regina Spektor sees this!” Wallace’s mom replied, “That is our only wish. We’re her number one fan!”
@Andie shared, “I recently learned that dogs grab a toy when they feel overwhelmed with emotion; it’s how they express it. He’s sooo happy!” Wallace’s mom agrees. “Yeah, a lot of people say “he probably doesn’t like it” but it clearly shows he loves it!” @Shelly Renee added, “His tail is wagging…here’s your sign! He’s happy!!!”
“I didn’t know dogs had favorite songs!,” admitted @Carrie, and Mom replied, “Wally’s playlist is making me proud!”
The American Kennel Club cited a study on dogs and music that reported what researchers found when dogs listened to different music genres.
“The dogs listening to pop music showed did not seem to have any type of reaction. The heavy-metal tunes prompted barking and agitation, and the classical music seemed to have a calming effect. “It is well established that music can influence our moods,” Wells summarized. “Classical music, for example, can help to reduce levels of stress, whilst grunge music can promote hostility, sadness, tension, and fatigue.”
