The 14th annual Bocce with the Brothers charity celebration takes place March 27.
The event, which supports the work of the Capuchin Ministries, will feature unlimited bocce alongside the Capuchin Friars, an Italian buffet dinner, beer and wine, desserts from the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s On the Rise Bakery, live music, live and silent auctions, a cappuccino bar, wine and gift card pull and more.
Last year’s even raised more than $134,000 with about 400 attendees. All of this year’s event proceeds will go toward Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Solanus Casey Center and Capuchin Retreat.
Capuchin Soup Kitchen was founded in 1929 and provides food, clothing and human development programs for people experiencing poverty or other challenging circumstances in the Detroit area.
“For more than a decade, Bocce with the Brothers has proven that fundraising can be as joyful as it is impactful,” said Michael Schodowski, event chair and president of Shelving.com, a supporter of the event.
Tickets for this year’s event cost $75 each and includes all food, drink and entertainment. Tickets can be purchased online at BocceWithTheBrothers.org. The event starts at 5 p.m. and takes place at Villa Penna, which is located at 43985 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights.
