BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN)- Fans of all trading cards and collectibles had quite the weekend at the Southern Park Mall.
Over 200 vendors and dealers set up tables to buy, sell and trade a variety of sports cards, sports memorabilia, collectibles, and other trading cards, including Pokémon, Magic the Gathering and many others.
At their last show, a card was stolen from a vendor, but Bryce Bergen with the Pittsburgh Card Show says occurrences like that are very rare and not indicative of the community.
“I would say this to anyone who does shows, anyone who has a store or a business, you’ve got to be very careful nowadays. There’s just 99.9% of the people are awesome. They have a great time, they enjoy the experience, but there are some people out there that will take advantage if they can. And that incident, unfortunately, that’s what happened here. It was just it was just a lapse of judgment,” said Bergen
The Bergen says that while they don’t have an exact date determined, they plan to return to the area in September for another card show.
