FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — With March Madness around the corner, bracket projections are starting to take shape for the Razorbacks.
Arkansas (23–8, 13–5 SEC) remains firmly in the NCAA Tournament field, with most projections placing them on the 4–5 seed line.
CBS Sports: In CBS Sports’ latest projected bracket, the Razorbacks land as a No. 5 seed in the West Region, drawing No. 12 High Point Panthers and sharing a pod with No. 4 Gonzaga Bulldogs.
ESPN: Following Arkansas’ win over Texas, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi updated his latest bracket projection with the Razorbacks slotted as a No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region and matched up with South Florida Bulls in Philadelphia.
Lunardi also lists Arkansas as the first team in line to move up to a No. 4 seed, with the winner of that opening game projected to face either Kansas Jayhawks or High Point Panthers in the Round of 32.
On3: On3 bracketologist James Fletcher III keeps the Hogs slotted as a No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region, projecting a first-round matchup with Yale Bulldogs in Tampa.
The Athletic: The Athletic’s Joe Rexrode projected the Razorbacks as a No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region prior to the Texas and Missouri games, with a first-round matchup against Yale Bulldogs in Portland.
USA Today: Writers with USA TODAY Sports project Arkansas as a No. 5 seed in the South Region, matched up with High Point Panthers in Tampa.
The Razorbacks are back in action Friday, March 13, for the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinals at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Arkansas will be either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed and play in the night session at 6 or 8:30 p.m. CT.
