A new first-of-its-kind theme park coming to Texas is looking for actors to help bring its immersive experience to life ahead of its opening. The Universal Studios kids resort in Frisco, a North Texas city, is slated to open later this year.
The 97-acre theme park will be specifically designed and developed for families with young children. It will feature family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, unique merchandise, food and beverage venues and character meet and greets.
The Universal Kids Resort will feature interactive land themes around beloved characters such as Shrek, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Minions, Puss in Boots, Trolls, Gabby’s Dollhouse and Jurassic World. The resort area will also include a 300-room themed hotel.
The park announced its hiring and holding auditions for open positions, according to the WFAA. It will be holding virtual auditions for actors, costumed characters and performers. Those who audition must be older than 18 years old. WFAA reported that callbacks will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 9 and 11.
The park is also hiring for a variety of hourly positions, which are open to anyone 16 years or older, according to WFAA. To apply, visit its website or click here.
Universal Kids resort is set to open in the spring or summertime between April and June in 2026, Frisco officials told NBC 5 in June. However, the opening timeline depends on the construction project’s progress.
